Proven Investment Results

Building on his experience in leading Alibaba’s first international investment team, As the former head of international investment at Ant Group, Kenny Man was involved in all overseas (ex-China) acquisitions and investments. This included the establishment of the landmark post-investment management team that lead to the successful creation of 9 unicorns, 4 IPO’s and 6 exits over a seven-year period.

Kenny led over a dozen fintech related investments globally, including PayTM in India, Kakaopay in Korea (IPO), Gcash in Philippines, True Money in Thailand, Bkash in Bangladesh, Stone and Dotz (IPO) in Brazil, just to name a few. He served on the board of many of these portfolio companies including TNG in Malaysia, Alipay HK, Gcash, True Money, Bkash, among others.

Before his time at Ant, Man was a senior investment director at Vision Knight Capital, a private equity firm, where he had led the 91.com deal sold to Baidu for $1.9bn and the New York flotation of 500.com. Earlier, he was a director in Alibaba’s investment and acquisition team working on the Vendio, Auctiva and Singlefeed deals in the US and Oncard Payments in China.
